Delivery to Malta: transit times, customs and VAT
Our workshop is in Turț, Satu Mare County, in north-west Romania – about 1,520 km in a straight line from Valletta. Parts and assemblies travel by road freight (groupage or dedicated truck), or by express courier for small urgent parts; typical road transit to Malta is 5–8 working days. We deliver anywhere in Malta, including industrial areas such as Hal Far, Bulebel, Marsa and the Grand Harbour area.
Shipments to Malta travel by road to an Italian port and then by ferry; small urgent parts can also be sent by air express.
Like Romania, Malta is a member of the European Union, so there are no customs formalities and no duties. B2B deliveries to companies with a valid EU VAT number are invoiced as intra-community supplies without Romanian VAT (reverse charge).
Delivery terms (for example EXW, FCA or DAP to your plant) are agreed in the quote. Parts are cleaned, protected against corrosion where needed and packed for transport, and each shipment travels with its delivery documents and, on request, inspection reports.
